OGC Nice, an ambitious club

Yehvann Diouf moves from a club relegated to Ligue 2 to a side competing at the top end of the Ligue 1 table. OGC Nice want to shake up the established order, especially under head coach Franck Haise. Since his arrival, the French coach has completely transformed the Aiglons. At the end of the 2024-2025 season, Le Gym finished 4th with 60 points and qualified for the Champions League qualifying rounds.

The Senegal international will experience a new environment at OGC Nice. At the Aiglons, there is constant pressure to win. There is constant pressure to stay near the top of the table. So the 25-year-old goalkeeper will discover the very highest level, with all its demands. It will help him progress in every area and gain new experience. He arrives as the first-choice keeper, since Marcin Bulka left the club during this summer transfer window.

Continuing his progress in Ligue 1

Yehvann Diouf has known only France since the start of his career. In Ligue 1, the Senegalese has been growing in stature and has become one of the leading goalkeepers in his position. After his outstanding season with Stade de Reims, the goalkeeper attracted interest from several clubs, both in France and abroad. Fiorentina, Torino, Lille and RC Lens were in the running. But in the end, it was OGC Nice who proved the most convincing.

At 25, Yehvann Diouf still has things to prove in Ligue 1. It is not the time to leave the French league. He needs a new project in France as a first-choice keeper, playing in major competitions such as the Champions League or, failing that, the Europa League.
