Rahimo FC: An undisputed domination in Fasofoot Ligue 1
At the end of a controlled season from start to finish, Rahimo FC was officially crowned champion of Burkina Faso for the third time in its history. With 69 points and a goal difference of +32, the club from Sya’s villa, Bobo-Dioulasso, flew over the championship, relegating the direct competitors to abyssal distances.

From the first days of the 2025-2026 season of the Fasofoot Ligue 1, Rahimo FC imposed its rhythm and superiority. The club has conceded only one defeat in the whole season, a record of consistency in a league usually more contested. The defensive strength, combined with a formidable offensive efficiency, allowed Rahimo FC to quickly widen the gap.

Already assured of his title since the 26th day, Rahimo FC completed his perfect season by settling for a draw (0-0) in the 30th and last day, against the Guépards de Vitesse FC. Behind, the Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) finished second with 49 points (+14), 20 units behind. Sporting FC completes the podium (43 points +7), followed closely by AS Douanes and Majestic SC (43 points each). A gap that highlights the extent of Rahimo’s performance.
Third title after those won previously, this consecration consecrates the rise of Rahimo FC which combines organization, judicious recruitment and strong identity. Rahimo FC is no longer satisfied with participating: it now dictates the tempo of Fasofoot Ligue 1. With this new trophy, the club of Bobo-Dioulasso also opens the doors to continental competitions, where he will have at heart to represent the national colors of Burkina Faso in the CAF Champions League.
A season marked by the fight for survival
If the top of the table was locked very early, the bottom of the ranking offered a suspense until the last day. L'Étoile Filante de Ouagadougou (EFO, 14th with 33 pts) and AS Sonabel (13th with 36 pts) could not avoid the play-offs despite honorable results in the 30th day (0-0 for EFO against Réal du Faso and 1-0 victory of Sonabel against ASFA Yennenga). The AJEB and the RCB were relegated directly to Ligue 2.
