Mostafa Mohamed came on at half-time in Konyaspor’s defeat by Galatasaray (0–4) on Friday 30 October, in the tenth round of the Turkish league. The Egypt international replaced Jackson Muleka and played the whole second half.
His side were already two goals down at the MEDAŞ Stadium in Konya. Victor Osimhen had opened the scoring with a header in the 12th minute, before Yunus Akgün doubled the lead in the 28th with a long-range strike.
Two goals within ten minutes of the restart
Konyaspor’s attacking change did not stop Galatasaray from extending their lead. Aleksey Batrakov made it 3–0 in the 49th minute. Rafael Leão then converted a penalty in the 55th, settling the result with more than half an hour still to play.
Konyaspor stay on eight points
At the final whistle, Konyaspor had eight points from ten games and were provisionally fifteenth. Galatasaray raised their total to 25 points and stayed top of the league.
Konyaspor’s next opponents will be Samsunspor. The club says training will resume as early as Saturday 31 October to prepare for the trip.
