54 points and a record: Craig Randall II makes a sensation at BAL 6

The Kalahari Conference of BAL 2026 ended this Sunday and the teams qualified for the playoffs are known. These are RSSB Tigers (Rwanda), Petro Luanda (Angola), Al Ahly Tripoli (Libya) and Dar City (Tanzania). On the individual level, Craig Randall II caused a sensation during the final day by offering himself an exceptional record.

The 29-year-old American fullback was the revelation with high-priced performances. Beyond his XXL performances, he writes his name in golden letters in the history of the Basketball Africa League.

Against Dar City, the RSSB Tigers won (104-92) thanks to Craig Randall II’s 54 points. It is the new BAL record in a single match. The American guard was hovering on a cloud during this meeting. In addition to his 54 points, he experienced an exceptional address: 18 successful shots out of 36, including 11 baskets at 3-points. Alone, he scored more than half of his team’s points.

Craig Randall II was born on April 22, 1996 in Youngstown in the state of Ohio, in the United States. Full of talent, the American back never had the chance to play in the NBA, having been rejected during the draft in 2020.


After having caused a sensation at the High School in Girard (Girard, Ohio), Medina (Medina, Ohio), Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, Arizona) and in the US university championships in Memphis (2015–2017) and UT Martin (2019–2020), Craig Randall II, rejected during the NBA draft, he embarked on a professional career. He started it at Long Island Nets in the NBA G League after being convincing during his trial period. Scoring 40 points against the College Park Skyhawks and Greensboro Swarm in 2022, he became the first player of his club to win two matches at 40 points. 

In April 2022, Craig was named the most improved player in the NBA G League. Performances with the Long Island Nets that opened the doors to the NBA Summer League in 2022 under the colors of the Portland Trail Blazers. 

On August 8, 2022, Craig Randall II lands in Australia and joins Adelaide 36ers. Scoring 35 points in his team’s victory against the Phoenix Suns in the pre-season, the 1.93 meter American sets a new record. He is the first NBL player to score 35 points against an NBA franchise. Despite very interesting beginnings, the back did not last in the Australian club. This is due to his regular disagreement with the coach and his teammates. In November 2022, he was released despite his status as the team’s top scorer with 20.3 points per game in NBL. 

In 2023, Craig Randall II played with Iowa Wolves in Wales and at Cholet Basket in France. Between 2024 and 2025, the American fullback played for Ningbo Rockets in China, Rip City Remix and Wisconsin Herd in the NBA G League. Since February 2026, he has been recruited by the RSSB Tigers of Rwanda. He is a real asset for the Rwandan club who shone in the Kalahari Conference of BAL 6.
