Abdou Diallo has opened up to Le Parisien about his immediate future. The Senegal international set out the possible scenarios. "I have a year left on my contract, so it will be either an extension or a departure. To be honest, I might leave. These are talks we'll have soon. Once the decision is made, we'll have to act accordingly."

"Making the most of my best years"

The 2021 African champion also revealed one of his wishes, or selection criteria, for any next club. "I've been a professional for eight years. In those eight years, I've only spent two without playing in the Champions League. I enjoy being at that level. The aim is to stay there. As long as there are no talks about an extension, I'm open to offers. I'm 27, I'm in my prime. The idea is to find the project that will allow me to keep flourishing at the very, very top level, to enjoy my football in peace and make the most of my best years," says Abdou Diallo.

"I already know quite a few people in Saudi Arabia"

The Senegalese defender does not, however, rule out a move to Saudi Arabia if the opportunity arises. "The main aim is to stay at the very highest level. But it's clear that this kind of country appeals to me. I already know quite a few people in Saudi Arabia, so I'd be perfectly at home if I were to go there. I remain open. Beyond football, it's a life choice that could interest me."

Developed at Monaco, Abdou Diallo has so far played in France, Germany and Belgium. His market value is estimated at 10 million euros.
