AIPS Sport Media Awards 2023: race for the best sports productions is under way

Journalists can now start submitting their work for the sixth edition of the AIPS Media Awards. The event is organised by the International Sports Press Association to reward the best sports productions. The "AIPS Sport Media Awards" have eight senior categories: Best Written Report, Best Written Column, Video Documentary, Short Video (up to 10 minutes), Athlete Profile Video (more than 10 minutes), Photo Portfolio (3 to 5 photos), Sports Action Photograph (1 photo), and Audio. There are also three categories for young reporters (Print, Photography, Audiovisual). Each entrant can submit up to two productions across these categories.

The valid entry period for the current edition starts on 5 November 2022 and ends on 4 November 2023. All work published within this window will be accepted. Entries can be submitted in any official language. In some cases, however, it is recommended to provide English subtitles for audio and video items.

Each winner will receive a trophy and a cash prize of US$2,000 (3rd place), US$3,000 (2nd place) or US$8,000 (winner). Young reporters will receive a grant, along with the opportunity to cover a sporting event.

The fifth edition of the "AIPS Sport Media Awards" wrapped up in spectacular fashion in Seoul, South Korea, honouring the world's best sports reporters after five rounds of voting that whittled the 1830 initial submissions from 138 countries down to the final 27.
