The main obstacle concerns the financial demands from the training club of the Senegalese international midfielder. The requested transfer fee is considered too high by the Bavarian leaders, which is slowing down the discussions. The matter is also disrupted by disagreements between several agents who claim a role in representing the player.
At only 18 years old, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye remains one of the most promising young talents in Senegalese football. His market value is currently estimated at 4 million euros on Transfermarkt, proof of his growing reputation on the transfer market. In just a few months, he has gone from being a young talent followed by a handful of insiders to a Senegalese international who appeared at the World Cup, coming off the bench against Belgium. But behind this rise, his permanent transfer to Bayern is now blocked by an administrative and financial battle with several parties claiming their share.
A rapid ascent in Bavaria
Arriving at Bayern Munich in January 2026 from Gambinos Stars Africa (Gambia) on loan, the player was supposed to continue his development in Bavaria as part of the partnership between Gambinos Stars and Red&Gold Football, the organization created by Bayern and Los Angeles FC to identify young talents. But several weeks after the opening of the summer transfer window, no definitive agreement has yet been made official.
His early days in Germany were marked by physical problems that slowed his adaptation, before he finally managed to convince the Bavarian staff. In training, his profile impressed Vincent Kompany, who gradually gave him a chance with the professional squad. Ndiaye played several Bundesliga matches, then took a step up by being called up by Senegal for the 2026 World Cup. In the round of 16 against Belgium (a 3-2 defeat after extra time), he came on for the final minutes, an appearance that mechanically increased his attractiveness.
A battle over training rights
In Dakar, the case has taken a political and administrative turn. Yankhoba Diattara denounces an attempt to divert the player's training rights. According to him, a license was issued in the name of Bara Sapoko Ndiaye without the agreement of his actual training club, and he points the finger at Seydou Sané, president of Casa Sports, whom he accuses of trying to deprive this club of future financial returns.
ASC Mbaxaan is also claiming recognition for its role in the player's pathway, just like Senegal Elite Stars, which is seeking a share of the revenues from a potential permanent transfer. Gambinos Stars Africa, the Gambian club that hosted Ndiaye before Bayern, also intends to defend its interests in a case where their former player has become a much more valuable asset than at the time of his departure.
An entourage under influence
The case is also marked by movements around the player's entourage. Former international Diomansy Kamara is reportedly closely monitoring the situation and looking to play a role in supporting him. There are also reports of supposed influence around his national team call-up, with discussions said to have involved former coach Pape Thiaw. Ali Barat, an agent best known for managing the interests of Nicolas Jackson, is also said to have contacted the player.
For representation, the German agency 4FC, based in Würzburg, is currently listed as representing the player on Transfermarkt. Its manager, Christian Hack, is the son of Helmut Hack, founder of Gambinos Stars, a connection that adds another layer of complexity to the negotiations.
A case out of control for Bayern
For Bayern Munich, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye was supposed to embody the success of the Red&Gold Football project. No one, however, had anticipated such a rapid increase in his value. In Munich, the aim remains to permanently secure a talent considered very promising, but they first have to determine who actually holds the rights linked to his training, who officially represents him, and how to split the benefits from a transfer that has become much bigger than expected.
One thing is certain: the Bara Sapoko Ndiaye case illustrates the new stakes of African football, where talent scouting now attracts international investment, but also battles for influence over the millions generated by these young players.
