CAF Champions League: Pyramids edge RS Berkane, Espérance de Tunis held up in Tanzania

Simba SC takes its first points against the Espérance de Tunis
After 3 losses of a row in group D, Simba SC records his first point in the competition. A few days after losing (1-0) in Tunisia, the Tanzanian club holds off (2-2) Espérance de Tunis, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salam. Simba SC led 2-0 at halftime. The Tunisians woke up in the second half to equalize thanks to goals by Aboubacar Diakité (64th) and Kouceila Boualia (79th). 

With this draw, Espérance de Tunis occupies the 2nd place with 6 points. The Malian Stadium is leader with 8 points. Petro from Luanda is 3rd with 5 points. Simba SC and 4th and last with only one point.

Pyramids FC shatters RS Berkane, Power Dynamos in ambush
After the goalless draw in Morocco a week ago, Pyramids FC is rectifying things at home. Against RS Berkane, the reigning champions played offensively by winning  three goals to zero in Cairo. Zalaka, Maher and Otta are the goalscorers of this meeting. 

Still on Sunday, Power Dynamos Football Club won (1-0) on the field of Rivers United and repositions themselves in Pool A. Kondwani Chiboni gave the 3 points to his team, in Uyo, Nigeria. The Zambians are now putting pressure on the Moroccans of RS Berkane. 

Unbeaten, Pyramids FC holds firmly the first place of group A with 10 points after 4 matches. The RS Berkane follows with 7 points, Power Dynamos is ranked 3rd with 4 points. The Nigerians from Rivers United close the gap with one point. 

 MC Alger beat Saint-Eloi Lupopo
MC Alger records their first victory since the beginning of the CAF Champions League. Having a point before this meeting and after its defeat (1-0) in the DRC, the Algerian club took their revenge on FC Saint-Eloi de Lupopo. The Algerian team took over (2-0) from their opponent on Sunday, at the Ali-Ammar Stadium, in Algeria. Achievements of Naidji and Khelif that totally boost the chances of MC Alger in pool A.

With 4 points, MC Alger has the same number of points as FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo. Mamelodi Sundowns occupies second place with 5 points. Al Hilal is first with 8 points.
