Appointed Cameroon head coach last June, Marc Brys has won every home game. Three matches, three victories is his record in Yaoundé and Garoua. He is still looking for his first win away from Cameroon. And on Monday at 13:00 GMT against Kenya, at the Mandela National Stadium, he has the chance to pick up his first three points on the road.
Two away draws for Marc Brys
Having taken over the Indomitable Lions, Marc Brys oversaw his first away match against Angola on 11 June 2024 on the 4th matchday of 2026 World Cup qualifying. The game ended in a draw (1-1). Cameroon had taken the lead through Bryan Mbeumo in the 11th minute, before Angola levelled with an own goal from Ngadeu.

Brys's second away match was a dull affair. The Indomitable Lions looked flat against Zimbabwe on 10 September on the 2nd matchday of 2025 AFCON qualifying in Uganda. The final result was 0-0, with a Cameroon side toothless going forward, who failed to hit the target with any of their 13 attempts.
A first away win and qualification for AFCON 2025
Marc Brys has a twofold aim on Monday with the Cameroon national team. A first win on the road, which looks likely, would allow Cameroon to book their place at AFCON 2025.

After three matches, Vincent Aboubakar and his team-mates have 7 points and lead Group J. Another win on Monday against Kenya would open the door to Morocco for the Indomitable Lions. They have a score to settle at the Africa Cup of Nations after a failed campaign in Ivory Coast. They were knocked out in the round of 16 after a very laboured display under Rigobert Song.
