Young Africans confirm their status
The Tanzanian cruise continued in South Africa. Young Africans showed their superiority over Marumo Gallants with a thoroughly dominant display in the Confederation Cup semi-final second leg. Despite their 2-0 win in the first leg, the Tanzanians controlled the game away from home. Fiston Mayele (45th minute) opened the scoring just before half-time. Early in the second half, any suspense disappeared when Musonda (62nd) doubled the lead and sent his side into the CAF Confederation Cup final. The South Africans of Marumo Gallants were unable to match them, even though they pulled one back through Chivaviro (91st). Recently crowned Tanzanian champions, Young Africans reach the first final in their history in the competition and are now dreaming of the double.

USMA see off ASEC
USMA will be there in the Confederation Cup final. The Algerian club battled hard against ASEC Mimosas in the first leg to secure a draw, leaving the tie to be settled in the return at home. And USMA did not disappoint. Determined to progress and reach the final, Bousseliou (28th) gave them the platform to realise their dream. With a very solid defence that kept the Ivorians from posing a threat, they sealed their place in the final with a second goal from Belkacemi (80th).
