ASEC Mimosas coach Julien Chevalier, a Frenchman, spoke at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday 8 May 2023 at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké. He gave his thoughts ahead of the big contest against USM Alger on 10 May 2023.
"We have prepared for this game as seriously as possible. We had some recovery time after the last match against US Monastir and now we are here in Bouaké and we have to refocus and adapt for this new challenge. We have to concentrate and not put unnecessary pressure on ourselves. For this first leg, we will need to do the maximum we are capable of, with lucidity. Our aim will be to do the best we can. However, whatever the outcome of this game, we must not give up. But we will do everything to approach this game well, with the same ambition of being solid and efficient in both our attacking and defensive play. In this battle, we expect unwavering support from the fans," he said.
