The Ivorian Orienteering Federation (FICO) staged a competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism as part of the project "Babi leisure weekend", on Saturday 18 March in the Banco forest in Abidjan.
This discovery weekend brought together more than 300 young people from all regions of Côte d'Ivoire, who competed against each other in orienteering. Kéita Mamadou, of the directorate for leisure, amusement parks and digital games, said he was delighted with the collaboration, which gave many young people the chance to enjoy themselves as if on a camping trip. Giving young people the chance to discover new adventures through orienteering is an innovation FICO introduced in this 2023 edition.
