A delegation from the Ivorian Basketball Federation, made up of president Coulibaly Mahama, FIBB secretary Innocent Ndry, and Roland Serges Kouamé, a member of the medical commission, visited the family of Yao Kouassi Gervais, known as Gervinho, to offer its condolences. The visit took place on 25 May 2023 in the Cocody Angré district. As a reminder, the Ivorian star lost his father on 29 April. "We have come to show our support during these difficult times. We also want to share in your grief, as we feel very close to the family. We assure you of our support," said the delegation's spokesman, Roland Serges Kouamé.
