After a ten-day spell on the injury list and with his fitness hampered, Joel Embiid had until now settled for 'modest' 30-point games, leaving the spotlight to other serial killers like Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Gianis Antetokounmpo... But last night against Atalanta, the Cameroonian set the record straight. He will have to be reckoned with again this season in the MVP race. He finished the game with 42 points (14/25), 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. A well-stuffed stat sheet. The Sixers, still without James Harden, won 121-109. They still have a losing record (6 wins, 7 losses), however, ahead of tonight's game against the Utah Jazz.
42 PTS | 10 REB | 6 AST
