With Andy Delort pushing to leave OGC Nice during the winter transfer window, the side sitting eleventh in Ligue 1 (25 points) might not be too upset to lose the Algerian striker. The source describes the club as “phocéen”, although it is discussing Nice. It is reportedly close to signing another centre-forward who could excite the Gym’s fans and, above all, score goals. His name: Youssef En-Nesyri.

According to Foot Mercato, OGC Nice’s directors began talks with the Moroccan Sevilla striker a few days earlier. The same source goes further, suggesting that the Atlas Lion has already agreed to join the French club.

Jorge Sampaoli reportedly unconvinced by Youssef En-Nesyri

At Sevilla FC, the directors appear open to the 25-year-old striker leaving. They are therefore unlikely to stand in his way, especially as new coach Jorge Sampaoli is reportedly not a great admirer of the player. Sevilla’s board also needs money and is said to be willing to sell Youssef En-Nesyri, whose contract with the side sitting 19th in La Liga runs until 2025.

Valued at around 15 million euros, the Moroccan appears affordable for the Côte d’Azur club. Nice could therefore move in the coming days to complete the deal. Their first-choice target, Lorient’s Nigerian striker Terem Moffi, is proving more difficult to secure because of competition from West Ham.
