Sports News Africa: Maître Michy Enyeka, do you think the FECOFA electoral timetable you have published is realistic?
Michy Enyeka: Yes, this electoral timetable is realistic. Right now, from the circles right up to the FECOFA Executive Committee, nobody has a mandate. And we are going to hold elections everywhere. We expect to do it within the timeframe.
How are relations between the FECOFA Normalisation Committee and the Electoral and Appeals Commissions?
Relations have been good so far. There are no problems.

The process has been launched at the level of the circles and ententes with the submission of candidacies. Is everything going well?
The process got off to a good start, although there is a slight extension to the deadline for submitting candidacies, which will now run until 13 January for these two bodies. I would also invite everyone who feels capable of running football at that level to submit their candidacy, and I strongly encourage them to do so.
Do you already have the means needed to see this electoral process through?
We already have the human and legal resources, but we do not yet have the financial resources. We have submitted our budget forecasts. The positive side is that CONOR, CAF and FIFA are supporting us in this process. Even the Ministry of Sports is following the process closely; we will have the funds, we remain confident. There is a lot of work to do and it requires a lot of resources, and we hope to have them very soon.
Have the eligibility conditions already been published?
For the circles and ententes, yes. Everything has been opened up, in fact, to allow as many people as possible to apply. People really need to get moving.
After the circles and the ententes, what comes next?
After the circles and ententes, there will be elections at provincial league level in February, then the national leagues in late March and early April, and finally the election of the new FECOFA Executive Committee on 30 May.
Are you sure the election of a new Executive Committee will take place on 30 May?
We are committed to that. If you look closely, CONOR's mandate ends at the end of June, but we have planned ahead so that the new Executive Committee is elected a month earlier.
