Launched last year following our revelations about alleged misappropriations within FECOFOOT, notably concerning subsidies intended for women’s football and also during the COVID period, the judicial investigation against several leaders of FECOFOOT has been completed.

Accused of money laundering, embezzlement, forgery and use, and illegal taking of interest, the president of the federation, Jean-Guy Blaise Mayolas, has exhausted all his appeals and possible remedies and will appear before the Criminal Court of Brazzaville.

Contracts favored to companies related to Mayolas
Denying the facts and trying to obtain FIFA’s protection, Mayolas already had no longer the right to leave Congolese territory for many months. Among the charges brought against him, the court accuses him of having favored obtaining contracts from companies for which he had a direct link, such as CATHO where he was co-manager with Marie Catherine Nandiba (mother of his children) or family such as CONFORT TRAVAIL SERVICES where several cross-transfers in its favor have also been found.

Other facts punctuate a long accusation file where the responsibility of the secretary general, Badji Mombo Wantete, was noted for the same charges, as well as for the accountant, Raoul Kanda. They will also appear before the criminal court.

Where are his son and the mother of his children?

In a scheme of multiple 'ghost' companies, transiting through several countries (Cameroon, Central African Republic), three other people are accused of complicity in embezzlement: Dasylva Ngouassika, Marie Catherine Nandiba and Lionel Mayolas.

Untraceable, the trio has been under arrest since January 14. According to information gathered by Sport News Africa, the son of the president of FECOFOOT had fled the country to be in France where the family owns many real estate properties.

As for the mother of his children, she remains untraceable and the Congolese justice should request the internationalization of the arrest warrant pending the holding of the trial.
