Andre Ayew played in his third World Cup with Ghana in Qatar. And the Black Stars went out at the first hurdle, with a bitter defeat to Uruguay. At 32, Ayew was the oldest player in the Ghana squad. After that group-stage exit, the Al-Sadd SC (Qatar) forward's international future is uncertain. Has Ayew played his last World Cup? The Ghana captain is keeping people guessing. He has not given so much as a hint.

The 2015 Marc-Vivien Foé Prize winner is already a Black Stars legend. With 113 caps, he is the most-capped player for the four-time African champions. Since making his international debut in 2008, Andre Ayew has played in three World Cups and seven AFCONs. A two-time AFCON runner-up (2010 and 2015), he has scored 21 goals for Ghana. Is that enough to call it a day and make way for the talented youngsters coming through? The suspense continues.

Is it curtains for Jordan too?

The future of his brother Jordan Ayew is also in question, especially as his relationship with Ghana fans was not at its best at the World Cup. Under fire after the 3-2 defeat to Portugal, the Crystal Palace forward won the fans back with a brilliant display against South Korea. It proved a short-lived reconciliation, as he was criticised again after the loss to Uruguay. But at 31, Andre Ayew's younger brother has now been around the national team a while. He joined the national side in 2010. Since then, he has played in two World Cups and four AFCONs with the Black Stars. He has scored 19 goals in 87 caps.
