The 1st round of the national Division 2 championship has been postponed outright by the Ivorian handball federation. Several D2 clubs failed to submit their licences on time, so the division's fixtures, originally scheduled for 29 and 30 April 2023 across the country, have been called off. Until the clubs concerned get their paperwork in order, the matches have been rescheduled for Saturday 06 May 2023. In D1, by contrast, the second round was played on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April 2023, in both the men's and women's competitions.
