Lassine Sinayoko, Paris FC to reach a new milestone

A more ambitious club

Since its acquisition in November 2024 by the Arnault family, supported by Red Bull which holds a minority share of 10%, Paris FC has changed in scale and its transfer activity for the 2025/26 season has shown the beginnings of a club that now wants to compete with the biggest and shake up the hierarchy in Ligue 1.

For its big return to the top flight, PFC managed to stay up by finishing in 11^th place in the table thanks to Antoine Kombouaré, who led an incredible comeback after his arrival during the offseason. This summer, the Parisian directors went all in by hiring Liam Rosenior, known for his work at Strasbourg before a brief stint at Chelsea, but most importantly with the recruitment of players like Pablo Pagis, Patrick Zabi, Diego Coppola and, most recently, Lassine Sinayoko. All this with Moses Simon, Ilan Kebbal, and also Jonathan Ikoné already in the squad.

The message is clear. Paris FC no longer wants to be an elevator club and wants to settle permanently in Ligue 1 with the ambition of aiming for the Top 10 and then going after European places. With this in mind, the signing of Sinayoko in addition to Pagis makes perfect sense.

Increased competition

During his six years at Auxerre (first team), Lassine Sinayoko often performed as the clutch goalscorer, the natural attacking leader who always carried AJA. His development over the years was steady and he maintained exemplary standards at the top level.

Last season, the best of his career and also his last, Lassine Sinayoko scored 12 goals in 32 matches, whereas Bryan Okoh and Danny Namasso, his direct pursuers, scored only 3 goals each. A significant gap that adequately proves the Malian was on another level compared to the other Auxerre attackers. That will not necessarily be the case at PFC.

At Paris FC, Lassine Sinayoko will face much greater competition and will have to confirm his status on the field while proving he can also be a leader outside of AJA, all while playing for the team. With Pablo Pagis (10 goals last season in Ligue 1) and Ilan Kebbal (9 goals) as well as Jonathan Ikoné (7 goals), not to mention the potential resurgence of Moses Simon, the competition will be even stiffer at Jean-Bouin for “Lasso.” The Eagle will have to spread his wings further to reach a new level.
