AS FAR wrapped up the group stage of the CAF Women's Champions League with a win. The Moroccan side beat Determine Girls of Liberia 2-0, handing them a third defeat of the competition, thanks to goals from Oumaima Harcouch and Ibitissam Jaridi. AS FAR were unstoppable in the group stage, in fact, and dominated their opponents with flair. They opened with a 1-0 win over Simba Queens before beating Green Buffaloes 2-1, and against Determine Girls it was little more than a formality. The Militaires therefore finish top of Group A with nine points. Third in the first edition in Egypt, AS FAR are surely aiming to win it on home soil. But the Moroccan side will need to be sharper in front of goal: in the group stage they scored just five goals in three matches. In the semi-final, they will face the runners-up from Group B.

Behind AS FAR, the other semi-final spot from Group A goes to Simba Queens. The Tanzanians beat Green Buffaloes of Zambia 2-0. On six points, they will face the Group B winners. Barring a surprise, Mamelodi Sundowns should finish top of that group. The South Africans, who are the reigning champions, come into it on the back of two wins, against Bayelsa Queens (2-1) and Wadi Degla (5-0). Mamelodi Sundowns take on TP Mazembe this Sunday on the final matchday of Group B. The Congolese side are battling for second place in the group with Nigeria's Bayelsa Queens. Both teams have three points each. The Nigerian champions, for their part, will face Egypt's Wadi Degla.
