Unable to find their best form in the Confederation Cup, Asec Mimosas remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 after a 2-0 win over Stade d'Abidjan on 25 May 2023, in a postponed fixture from matchday 27 of Ligue 1. Knocked out by USM Alger in the semi-finals of the African competition, the Mimosas have swiftly turned their attention back to domestic matters, and in fine style. In the space of four days, they have played their second game in hand. The first was won against ASI Abengourou (1-0) on 22 May, thanks to a goal from Kramo Aubin. Today, it was a brace from Zouzoua Pacôme that allowed the Yellow and Blacks, the league leaders, to preserve their unbeaten run over 27 Ligue 1 matchdays. With 59 points on the board, they are now 10 points clear of their closest challengers, Gagnoa (49 points). On 28 May, Asec will play their game in hand from matchday 26, aiming to pull clear at the top and approach the play-offs with some comfort.
