Players in the Ligue 1 are following the situation of Lahouri Junior, the CO Korhogo defender, with interest. He was admitted to a clinic in Abidjan a few days ago by the Union of Professional Footballers of Côte d'Ivoire, led by former Ivory Coast international Zoro Marc. The Ufpci is also monitoring the situation closely. On the matter, it has issued a statement to keep the national and international public informed of the player's state of health. "The UFPCI, through its president Mr Zoro Marc, wishes to reassure the national public that Mr Junior Lahouri, who plays for CO Korhogo (D1), is following his treatment and is showing marked improvement. The Union of Professional Footballers of Côte d'Ivoire is making sure everything goes well by working closely with the medical staff overseeing the player's progress, and with his family. The UFPCI also thanks the Director of the HMA and all the medical staff (Doctor Assi Alain and Doctor Ouattara Gnenan), the neurologist Doctor Legret Saint-Clair, as well as everyone who is giving us tremendous help, both financial and material. The UFPCI, whose aim is to defend the rights of professional footballers and to ensure their contracts are strictly respected, with a view to improving their living conditions, also calls on clubs to take the necessary steps for better management of Professional Footballers of Côte d'Ivoire. We will provide more information in the coming days. Together, let us add value for our players and for our football. Junior Lahouri, may God grant you health so that you return soon and can fully enjoy your passion, your profession, Football," wrote Zoro Marc. Since its arrival on the scene, this union, which is recognised by Fifpro, has seen several Ligue 1 players approach its leaders so that their various problems are taken into account.
