Only three league matchdays remain in Ivory Coast's Ligue 2, but Africa Sports, celebrating their 76th anniversary on 27 April 2023, have four matches left to play. The Green and Reds have a game in hand on their rivals Zoman FC and CO Bouaflé. On Monday 24 April 2023, the 1999 Cup Winners' Cup winners beat AS Ouragahio on matchday 22 by 3 goals to 1.
That win takes the 2011 Ivory Coast champions to 39 points, just one behind the leading pair of Zoman and Bouaflé, who have 40 points each. French coach Hage Mohamed's players now have their destiny in their own hands as they seek a return to Ligue 1 after two years in the second tier. If they win all their remaining games, they will be Ligue 2 champions.
