The all-African tie has produced its verdict. Mali and Morocco met in the quarter-finals of the U17 World Cup on Saturday 25 November. In this contest, the Eaglets dominated the game without managing to score. They had 65% possession and 19 shots, 7 of them on target. But the goal was slow in coming. Only from the penalty spot did Mali find a way through. Facing Taha Benrhozil, who had shone in the penalty shootout against Iran in the round of 16, Ibrahim Diarra (81st minute) won the duel and converted his spot-kick.
