Mixed fortunes for the NBA's two Cameroonian stars. While Joel Embiid keeps lighting up the stat sheet every time he plays, Pascal Siakam sometimes has nights to forget. Like last night, in Toronto's defeat to Minnesota (126-128). The Douala native struggled to find his range. Off the mark, he tried to force his shot and Spicy P ended up with 13 points on 6/16 shooting. He did make up for it with his playmaking (9 assists) and his work around the rim (7 rebounds).
Toronto, who host Boston on Saturday night, remain 11th in the Eastern Conference with 20 wins and 26 defeats. Philadelphia, on the other hand, picked up their 29th win by getting past Portland (108-95). As on every night, Joel Embiid contributed hugely to his side's victory. The Yaoundé native was the game's top scorer with 32 points. He also pulled down 9 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. He has also become the franchise's 8th all-time shot-blocker with 600 blocks. The Sixers are now third in the East, with the same number of wins as the Bucks (2nd).
