Fabrice Ondoa: a new restart to find

Fabrice Ondoa's adventure at FK Rabotnički has officially come to an end. Relegated to the second division of North Macedonia, the club has undertaken a major overhaul of its squad and has chosen not to extend the Cameroonian goalkeeper's contract.

At 30 years old, the hero of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finds himself free of any contract. Having played in several European leagues, Ondoa still boasts an interesting profile thanks to his international experience and his background in major competitions. What remains now is to find a sufficiently ambitious project to revive a career that has struggled for stability in recent seasons.

Darlin Yongwa: an attractive profile

Among the free agents, Darlin Yongwa is undoubtedly the one who offers the best sporting guarantees. After four seasons at FC Lorient, marked by movement between Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, the left-back did not have his contract renewed.

His 23 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2025-2026 season, capped off with an assist, nonetheless demonstrate his ability to perform at the highest level. At just 25 years old and with a market value estimated at 5 million euros, the former Lorient player still has significant room for improvement. His profile as a modern full-back, able to contribute offensively while ensuring his defensive duties, should attract several European clubs in the coming weeks.

Oumar Gonzalez: Gulf experience as an asset

Free after his spell at Al-Raed, Oumar Gonzalez arrives on the market with solid credentials. The central defender played 31 matches last season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

At 28, he is still in his prime for a defender. His consistency in Saudi Arabia and his estimated value of 900,000 euros make him a player likely to interest both Middle Eastern clubs and European teams looking for experience at the back.

Macky Bagnack: talent never fully fulfilled

Long regarded as one of the greatest hopes of his generation following his development at La Masia, Macky Bagnack has never really lived up to expectations.

His spell at ND Primorje, in the Slovenian second division, resulted in just eleven matches played. A statistic that shows a downward spiral since the year 2021 : the defender has only accumulated 60 matches in all competitions over five seasons. This path explains the drop in his market value, now estimated at just 250,000 euros.

Allan Nyom: awaiting a last hurrah

At 38 years old, Allan Nyom now belongs to the veteran category of European football. His last match with Getafe, played on May 23, likely marked the end of a multi-year adventure in La Liga.

Having featured only 17 times in all competitions this season, the former Granada and West Bromwich Albion player appears to be closer to retirement than to a new major sporting challenge. Olivier Ntcham: still an enticing gamble

Last season, he played 32 games, scored three goals and provided an assist. Now a free agent after his contract expired, the Cameroonian midfielder, valued at two million euros, remains one of the most appealing players in this selection.

Ben Elliott: the painful season

Long considered one of the best prospects of his generation in Cameroon, Ben Elliott was never able to showcase his potential this season. A persistent thigh injury kept him off the field for many months. The result: only eight appearances in a Reading shirt in the English League One. At 23, the former prospect still has time to bounce back, but will need to quickly regain physical consistency in order to convince a new club.

Gaël Ondoua: losing momentum

After two particularly successful seasons at Servette with 31 and then 26 league games respectively, Gaël Ondoua experienced a much more complicated year in 2025-2026.

Between technical staff decisions and increased competition, the Cameroonian midfielder played only fifteen games in all competitions. At 30 years old, this significant drop in his playing time partly explains his current position on the market.

Clinton Njie: injuries as his main opponent

Clinton Njie hoped to enjoy a renaissance at Rapid Bucharest. But once again, injuries have seriously hampered his progress.

Between the treatment room and the bench, the former Tottenham and Olympique de Marseille striker featured in just eleven matches in all competitions. At 32 and with an estimated value of 300,000 euros, a return in a major European league looks difficult today, even if his experience remains an asset.

Vincent Aboubakar: a striker in search of one last challenge

Even at 34, Vincent Aboubakar continues to demonstrate his goalscoring instinct. Wearing the colors of Neftçi Baku in Azerbaijan, the former Indomitable Lions captain scored nine goals in eighteen games in all competitions.

Despite this respectable output, the club chose not to renew his contract. Already left out of the national team, the second top scorer in history of the Lions will now have to convince a new project to offer him probably one of the last big deals of his career.

Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu: an uncertain future

On May 17, Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu played his last match in the colors of Dinamo Moscow. This game brought to a close a season of 21 appearances and also ended a four-year adventure in Russia.

In total, the former Young Boys of Bern player leaves Dinamo after 117 games and 21 goals in all competitions. Versatile, experienced, and used to European competitions, the Cameroonian winger still has arguments to win over a club looking to strengthen its attack.
