For the 4th day of the CAF Cup in group D, ASEC had to win against USGN to return in the race for qualification. A 2-1 home win was all that makes the difference for the Ivorians.
ASEC scored very quickly thanks to Karim Konate (4th). The 17-year-old nugget doubled the lead in the 33rd minute from a penalty. However, the Nigerians of USGN will reduce the score on a penalty kick thanks to Victorien Adebayor in the 48th minute.

Simba SC of Tanzania needed a victory against RS Berkane at home to consolidate their first spot in the group. They managed to get the feat as they beat the Moroccan side.

With this victory, ASEC (6 pts) occupies the second place in Group D. Simba SC, who beat RS Berkane 1-0, are in the lead with 7 points. Berkane (6 pts) and USGN (4 pts) close the gap.
