Willy Boly wants to leave Wolverhampton at all costs. Included in the list against Newcastle this Saturday, the defender did not even show up. He preferred to stay away from the game without telling his coach Bruno Lage, who didn't like Boly's behavior at all.
What's going on with Willy Boly? The Ivorian defender skipped Wolverhampton's game against Newcastle on Saturday, which ended 1-1. He did not even put a foot on the field. The Ivorian preferred to go about his business. Yet he was present on the list of Bruno Lage. The Wolves manager did not appreciate the behavior of his player at all. "He was a great professional but in the end he wants to force something. They have to be professionals. I make my decision to put him in the team list and he makes his decision," Lage confided in the press conference.
But everything is explained, the Ivorian defender wants to see elsewhere. And the mercato is coming to an end. The deadline is this Thursday, September 1. Wolverhampton has already refused an offer of more than a million euros from Nottingham Forest for the 31-year-old player. Hence the annoyance of Willy Boly. And his coach is well aware of this.
"Maybe I'm dreaming, but we can think about what we can do differently and protect this kind of thing. Boly does not deserve this, he is a great professional and he has no problem with me, but he wants to force something. I have a good relationship with him. He has a proposal in his hands and he wants to go." He adds. "Everything happens with agents and players and it's so hard to manage people. I'm not just doing Boly, but we need to think about that and what kind of rules we want so that this kind of thing doesn't happen."
Willy Boly has yet to play a game with the Wolves this season.
🗣 "He has a proposal in his hands and he wants to go. That's my feeling when I talk to him."
