The ultimate goal of every club in the CAF Champions League preliminaries is to make it through to the group stage as the men begin to be separated from the boys. Round two of the qualifiers has just offered even more mouth watering fixtures ahead on the continental stage.
At the end of the first preliminary round, 16 clubs have qualified for the 2nd round in CAF Champions League this season. A round that will see the teams exempted from the first round make their entry into the competition. This will be the case of Wydad Casablanca, defending champion and will face Rivers United. For its part, Al Ahly will face US Monastir. TP Mazembe will face Vipers SC. The first leg matches will be played on October 7 and 9, the second leg matches on October 14 and 16.
