Ghana FA and PFAG holds dinner for Football legends ahead of Qatar 2022

The Ghana Football Association in collaboration with the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana organized a walk and dinner with the country’s legends as part  of Ghana's world cup preparation and creating awareness  ahead of the World Cup.

The day started with a walk dubbed "Walk with the legends" on the Ayi mensah Peduase hills with the President of the Ghana Football Association Mr Kurt Okraku, Minister for Youth and Sports Hon Yussif Mustapha and some football legends been present for the walk before climaxing the day off with a dinner.

Also in attendance were some ex Black stars players like John Painstil, Derek Boateng, Asamoah Gyan, Augustine Arhinful, Awuku Issaka, Jerry Akaminko, Isaac Vorsah, Richard Kingston, Kwame Ayew, Rev. Osei Kofi, Edward Ansah, Sam Johnson, Laryea Kingson, Yaw Acheampong, Yaw Preko, Peter Ofori Quaye, Maxwell Konadu, Emmanuel Armah, known in football circles as Senegal, Frimpong Manso, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Prince Tagoe who were led by the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana Sammy Kuffour and General Secretary Anthony Baffoe.

A dinner was held at the Event Center in East legon for Ghanaian football legends and some former Black Stars players.

The General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), Mr. Anthony Baffoe showered some blessings and motivation for the black stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup and also urged them to make the country and the entire continent proud in Qatar.

"All our prayers are with the players because we have been on the pitch before and now it is their time so we will support them. People can talk but the reality is on the pitch. Our blessings awaits all the players and they should go and make the country and their family proud in Qatar"-he added.

Asante kotoko and Black Stars legend, Mr. Ibrahim Sunday also added his voice to the course encouraging the players ahead of the tournament in Qatar.

"We're going to make it Isha Allah. They cannot make it without our support so we need everybody to rally their support and pray for them as well".

Ghana is set for a record 4 appearances at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar where the Black Stars are paired with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.
