Captain of Ghana’s CHAN team, Gladson Awako has assured Ghanaians of good performance in the upcoming African Nations Championship to be held from January 13 to February 4 in Algeria .
The Ghana team, known as the Black Galaxies are in Algeria preparing ahead of the championship.
Skipper of the side, Gladson Awako has assured Ghanaians of an improved performance in the 7th edition of the CHAN championship.
Speaking to the press, Awako confirmed their readiness for the continental showpiece and also recounted how smooth their preparations have been.
"Everything has been good right from Prampram to where we are now. We've had couple of games and i think the performances have been very good."
"Everyone is cooperating well and our technical team is also doing all they can to make sure we can get to the level where we can be ready for the tournament."
"We are calm, well motivated and waiting for the official commencement of the tournament so we can showcase to the world what we are made of and also make our nation proud. We are going to put so smiles on the faces of Ghanaians", he added.
The Hearts of Oak midfielder further called on the entire nation for their support as they seek to make the nation proud on the continental stage.
"We are calling on them to for support, prayer and whatever they can do to help the team back home and we won't disappoint them, we will get far and make the nation proud", he concluded.
The Black Galaxies will kickoff their competition with Madagascar on January 15th before taking on Sudan and finally Morocco in Group C.
