Ghana Premier League match day 12 wrap: Medeama SC stuns Nsoatreman as Tamale City FC holds Champions Asante Kotoko

Real Tamale United hosts Accra Lions in Ghana Premier League match day 12

Match day 12 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League has ended across all league centers. Heavyweights, Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak dropped points away whiles Dreams fc snatched a point away to Legon Cities.

Tamale City FC 1-1 Asante Kotoko

Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed point at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Wednesday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale City FC.

The first half of the game ended in a goalless draw as both teams came close to scoring but saw all efforts denied by both goalkeepers.

Asante Kotoko however broke the deadlock in the 84th minute when center-back Issah Nyaabila unfortunately directed a crossing from Asante Kotoko forward Steven Mukwala into his own net.

Tamale City FC quickly responded with the equalizer through substitute Babamu Ibrahim who pounced on a loose ball in the 18-yard box to level things for the home-side.

Legon Cities 0-0 Dreams FC

Legon Cities were held to a pulsating 0-0 draw at home by Dreams FC at the Accra sports stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The Royals in the absence of head coach Maxwell Konadu played so beautifully but failed to make their chances count in front of goal.

The first half of the game witnessed an all inclusive encounter from both sides. Legon Cities winger Joseph Mireku was a thorn in the flesh of the Dreams FC defense as he tormented the left-back wing of the visitors.

The diminutive winger in the 40th minute went past two defenders and sent in a cross that should have resulted in a goal but Kwabena Adu Meider just shot low into the hands of goalkeeper Koomson.

Dreams FC later in the second half also had numerous goalscoring opportunities but saw Agyenim Boateng's effort denied on multiple occasions by the goalkeeper.

The game ended in a goalless draw after entire duration.

Aduana Stars 2-0 Kotoku Royals

Aduana Stars defeated relegation bound Kotoku Royals by 2-0 to widen the gap at the top of the league log with Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak dropping points.

Emmanuel Gyamfi shot the Ogyaa boys ahead in the 17th minute with a beautiful effort after knocking on the door on countless times.

Stephen Anokye Badu added the second of the day for Paa Kwesi Fabin's side few seconds before the end of the first half.

There were no goals in the second half as Aduana Stars ended with a 2-0 victory to extend the lead on the table to 4points.
