The Confederation of African Football has reversed its decision to reschedule the match between Rwanda and Benin on the fourth day of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. While in a correspondence dated March 21, 2023, the body revoked the approval of the stadium of Huye for lack of hotel facilities of international level minimum 4 stars and rescheduled the match at the General Mathieu Kérékou stadium of Cotonou, it has just chosen the Pele stadium of Kigali.
"CAF requires that exceptionally, the match Rwanda vs Benin be played at the Pele Stadium Kigali (Rwanda), Tuesday, March 28, 2023, on the strict condition that no fan attends, being specified that the said stadium remains suspended until further notice, "says a correspondence dated March 24. The Cheetahs of Benin will have to go to Kigali in the next 48 hours.
