Accra Hearts of Oak celebrates league victory

League leaders, Aduana Stars beat Accra Great Olympics on Saturday afternoon to widen the gap at the top as other title contenders Bechem United, Asante Kotoko and Accra Lions dropped points on match day 26.

Berekum Chelsea 3-0 Asante Kotoko SC

Berekum Chelsea beat clueless Asante Kotoko by 3-0 at the Berekum Golden City park on Friday afternoon on match day 26.

The porcupine warriors seems to be under pressure to deliver as the season nears it end. With the departure of head coach Seydou Zerbo, Abdul Gazelle stepped in but seems not to be getting things right as they were heavily beaten by the Bibiries.

Berekum Chelsea added salt to injury in the 85minute when substitute Patrick Kofi Ansu found the back of the net with a beautiful strike to break the heart of the visitors.

Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 Nsoatreman

Accra Hearts of Oak emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline against Nsoatreman FC at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday night to keep their title chase on.

The Phobians are now 5points behind 1st placed Aduana Stars who are bent on clinching the 2023 betPawa Premier league title.

The home-side took the lead through an own goal from Philip Ofori in the 15th minute.

Yaw Amankwah Baafi doubled the lead for Accra Hearts of Oak with a beautiful finish in the 66th minute to set the Accra sports stadium ablaze.

Nsoatreman FC quickly pulled one back just two minutes later but wasn't enough for the visitors who were later reduced to 10men following Ransford Asokwah's sending off.

Real Tamale United 5-1 Bibiani Goldstars

Real Tamale United bounced back from their disappointing FA Cup exit to record a massive 5-1 home win over Bibiani Goldstars on Sunday afternoon at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

In what was their eighth victory of the season, the Pride of Tamale begun with a 30th minute goal from Abdul Manaf Umar.

Issah Kuka added another in the 42nd minute to ensure they go into the break with a 2goal lead.

Abednego Tetteh pulled one back for the miners in the second half but the home-side responded again with three more second half goals to ensure they win convincingly.

Issah Kuka bagged a second half brace to complete his hat trick of the day whiles Stephen Badu added one in the ending minutes of the game.
