There are a plethora of African players who are in an end-of-contract situation at their respective clubs in the Jupiler League in Belgium. Their situations are different. There's Joris Kayembe, the 28-year-old Belgian defender from RSC Charleroi and Congolese international whose season has been up and down. He has alternated good and bad this season. This has cost him his starting place lately.
We also have Marius Mouandilmadji, the Chadian striker who plays in Seraing. The latter will be very coveted with his current good season (11 goals this season). The other striker whose contract expires soon is Islam Slimani. Since his arrival in January from Anderlecht, he has made everyone agree thanks to his nine goals in sixteen games. He is currently negotiating with the Mauves to extend the adventure.
Despite only being here for 6 months, Fabio Silvá still finished the season as Anderlecht top scorer.
When you look at the minutes-per-goal ratio both Islam Slimani & Benito Raman performed better than the Portuguese striker.#RSCA pic.twitter.com/ey9hOQ2Yqw
