Three clubs have been summoned to the labour inspectorate in Abidjan by the Union of Professional Footballers of Côte d'Ivoire (Ufpci), headed by former international footballer Zoro Marc. These are Bouaké FC, ASI Abengourou and AS Tanda. In this batch, two formations out of three did not deign to come and explain themselves to the State of Côte d'Ivoire. These are Bouaké FC and ASI Abengourou. AS Tanda sent a representative and promised to collaborate. What are they accused of?
Bouaké FC fired 8 players without paying them anything according to information gathered from these athletes who were present at the labour inspection on 10 May 2023. The club of the Gbêkê city had however requested that its mail be sent to Bouaké, more than 300 km from Abidjan. The Ufpci has systematically moved to do so. Unfortunately, the president of Bouaké FC, Diabaté Issa, who is also a member of the FIF Executive Committee, did not respect his commitment to present himself or a representative to the labour inspectorate. A new document will be sent to him in the next few hours, we have learned from sources close to the case.
Like Bouaké, the president of ASI, Adou Bernard, has not responded to the appointment while he recently had a player fired without giving him a kopeck. He is also close to the new leaders of FIF.
