Switzerland failed to win their friendly against Zambia ahead of the Women's World Cup. In a hotly contested match, the two teams played out a 3-3 draw. It was the Swiss who opened the scoring in the 8th minute. But the Cooper Queens were quick to respond.Grace Chanda equalised in the 13th minute. Zambia's star striker Barbara Banda doubled the lead 7 minutes later (20th). Zambia even scored a third in injury time through Kundananji (45+7).
But Switzerland still managed to pull level with Zambia. Piubel (54') and Sow (81') equalised for the Swiss. The bronze medallists of the last Africa Cup of Nations missed out on a great victory. They face Germany on 7 July.
Match ends in a draw at the Tissot Arena. The Copper Queens next pre World Cup friendly match will be against Germany on 7 July.
