Amusan, Ta Lou, Ese Brume, the women's headliners
At the Stockholm Diamond League Meeting, Nigeria's Tobi Amusan will be on the starting line for the 100m hurdles. The world champion and world record holder will be aiming for a second win after her victory at the Kingston Racers Grand Prix. But also a first Diamond League victory. Amusan recently put in her best performance of the season in Ostrava (June 27). She ran a time of 12'47 to finish 3rd behind Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.
200 m (Female): Ta-Lou in a tough race
In the 200m, the in-form athlete of the moment Marie-Josée Ta Lou will be on the starting block.This will be her 2nd race on the half-lap this season. In Paris, she finished 3rd. Dina Asher-Smith, the 2019 Olympic champion (who won the meeting last year) and Daryll Neita are the other headliners in the race. Marie-Josée Ta Lou goes into this race full of confidence after winning the 100m at Lausanne in 10.88. Another Ivorian, Maboundou Koné, will also be running the distance.
5000m (Female): Axumawit Embaye, outsider
Ethiopia's Axumawit Embaye, world indoor silver medallist in the 1500m, will be making her first outing in the 5000m.
Long jump (Female): Ese Brume to titillate Malaika Mihambo
In the women's long jump, world silver medallist Ese Brume of Nigeria will be on the attack.She will be up against Olympic and world champion Malaika Mihambo (Germany). She will also be joined by British European indoor champion Jazmin Sawyers. It promises to be a high-level event.

Korir, Simbine, Bamidele, El Bakali favourites in their races In the men's 100m, Olympic and world finalist Akani Simbine of South Africa is the fastest man in the field to start the race.He has already run 9'92 this season.One of his main challengers is Olympic 200m gold medallist André de Grasse from Canada, who will be looking to kick-start his season.
400 m (Male): Bamidele to reveal himself to Europe
In the men's 400m, Nigeria's Emmanuel Bamidele will be taking part in his first race in Europe. This is the first time he has competed in Europe since winning gold at the NCAA Championships in Texas earlier this month.
