Ghana's elimination from the group stage of the U23 AFCON is already having an impact. Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko has been sacked, along with his entire technical staff.
The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ghana FA, Frederick Acheampong, had this to say on the matter. "This team was put together with the aim of qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. And we didn't manage to qualify, so obviously it will be disbanded," he told 3Sports.
Ghana will not be at the next 2024 Olympics in Paris after finishing third in Group A of the competition.
