Zambia's goals came from Fredrick Mulambia (51st) and Albert Kangwanda (74th), while the islanders had equalised through Affane Djambae (67th).
Zambia, the defending champions, now have 3 points, as many as their opponents of the day, who won (3-0) against Seychelles.
