Hervé Renard, coach of France's women's World Cup squad, spoke to L'Equipe newspaper. Asked about his career, and in particular what he would have become without his Zambian experience, he replies: "I wouldn't be here. This country has given me so much. The nicest compliment I ever got was: "You've put our country on the map. I get emotional when I talk about it... Coming back after our victory will remain engraved in my memory. I'd never experienced anything like it, all those children and elderly people everywhere with their country's scarves, absolute happiness, a moment of grace. Zambia is part of me, part of my history, part of my identity. And I have my daughter, of course (Kayla, 10). It was like living in a fairytale.
