Women's World Cup 2023: Zambia soundly beaten by Japan

Zambia fell at the first hurdle of the Women's World Cup. The Cooper Queens were beaten 5-0 by Japan in Group C on Saturday, July 22. Worse still, the bronze medallists finished the match with 10 women. Their goalkeeper Musonda was shown the red card at the end of the match. Musonda is the team's No.2. She took the place of regular goalkeeper Hazel Nali, who is out with injury. In their second match, Zambia takes on Spain.
