Suriname's sprinter Issam Asinga has been provisionally suspended for doping. The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) claimed that the Zambian-born tested positive for the banned substance GW1516. The 18-year-old athlete had made a big impression last July by breaking the world junior 100m record in 9.89s. He improved on Botswana's Letsile Tebogo's time by 2 hundredths. Tebogo could well retain the world record.
