David Rudisha is one of three ambassadors for the World Athletics Championships, scheduled for August 19-27 in Budapest, Hungary. The two-time Kenyan Olympic medallist, former British decathlete Daley Thompson and Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlašić are expected to promote the event in the Hungarian capital.
"I am deeply honored to be named ambassador of the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23 by World Athletics. Congratulations to all the athletes who made it to the World Championships this year.I take this opportunity to wish everyone a successful competition and ask all fans and athletes to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship during the event," said 800m world record-holder Rudisha.
