African sprint sensation Ferdinand Omanyala is confident ahead of the Budapest World Athletics Championships (August 19-27). "I'll be aiming for nothing less than a gold medal at the Worlds. I've had an incredible season and my recent performances have given me the confidence I needed for the World Championships", declared Omanyala.
To back up his claims, the Kenyan won the Diamond League 100m. He recently won the 100 m in Monaco (July 21). He holds the African 100 m record in 9'77. Omayala also set the 2nd (9''84) and 3rd (9''86) fastest times on the queen distance this season.
