Theuns Stofberg has died. The former South African rugby player has died at the age of 68. The South African Rugby Federation announced it this Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was involved in a road accident on Tuesday.
Theuns Stofberg played 21 test matches with the Springboks, including 4 as captain between 1976 and 1984. "To say that Theuns has left an indelible mark on South African rugby at a difficult time for our sport is an understatement," says federation president Mark Alexander in a statement.
