Victor Kiplangat wins the men's marathon at the Budapest World Athletics Championships. The Ugandan completed the 42.195 km in 2h08mn53s. He finished well ahead of Israel's Maru Teferi (2h09mn12s) and Ethiopia's Leul Gebresilase (2h09mn19s). Kiplagat thus gives Uganda its second gold medal of these World Championships, following Cheptegei's gold in the 10,000 m.
