Ernest Nuamah has signed for Lyon. But the way in which he did it has many wondering. The Ghanaian was initially sold by Nordsjaelland to Molenbeek before arriving at Les Gones. However, Molenbeek is owned...by John Textor, who also owns OL. In response to the controversy, Textor issued a statement on Friday September 1 to clarify certain points.
"RWDM's purchase of player rights from a club in Denmark (Nordsjaelland) was supported by a "proof of funds", verified by a major commercial bank in Brazil, which benefits from a cash balance equivalent to 60 million euros," the American first points out. He continues. "The transaction is a traditional purchase and loan operation, carried out in full compliance with FIFA regulations, under the supervision of the DNCG."
