A major blow for Arsenal and the Ghana national team. Midfielder Thomas Partey has been injured in training. According to English journalist Con Harrison, the Ghana international will be out for 3 months. While Arsenal have yet to make a statement, the Ghanaian federation immediately commented on the injury.
"Thomas Partey is absent from the squad due to injury. According to his club, the player injured himself in training and could be out of action for some time, but the Black Stars medical team is monitoring the situation," reads the Ghana statement. The Black Stars will face Liberia on Matchday 6 of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, as well as a friendly against Mexico.
